Florida Strawberry Festival Fun Part 1

 The Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL has been a tradition for the town for the past 86 years. This festival is near and dear to my heart having grown up in Plant City.

The 1st year I entered an item into the festival's arts and crafts competition was in 2009. The previous year I had taken all of the Wilton's Cake Decorating classes at the local craft stores and decided to enter the cake decorating category. I got 2nd place for the cake below. Interesting fact is that when you enter a "cake" it's actually decorated pieces of styrofoam.

Since then I have gone on to enter items under Crochet, Papercrafts, Home Decor and Baking.

One of Blake's favorite singer's is Walker Hayes and we got to see him perform opening night of the festival. Blake enjoyed his first concert.

I get to share my love of papercrafts at the festival this year. I'll be conducting demonstrations twice this year: Monday, March 6th 10 AM - 1 PM and Sunday, March 12th 2PM - 5PM. C'mon out to see me!
